Ahmedabad. Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi today repeated a quote caused by Albert Einstein, though in a way that it was his unique quote, but still failed to have appreciation for it.
“Very soon people will imagine that Mahatma Gandhi was not a genuine person, ” Rahul Gandhi said while addressing a tiny gathering at Gandhi Ashram with Sabarmati earlier today.
He has been just repeating Albert Einstein, who in 1939 had said “Generations in the future, it may well be, will scarce believe such a man as that one ever in flesh and body walked upon this Earth” while speaking about Mahatma Gandhi.
“LOL! Forget Mahatma Gandhi, we think you're not real, Pappu! ” said on the list of tweets mocking Rahul Gandhi’s declaration. It was re-tweeted 137 times during filing this report.
Similar twitting, such as “Does Pappu imagine that people will turn dumb like him that will doubt Gandhiji’s existence? #YoRahulSoDumb” and “There are 2 Gandhijis – one real and one virtual #PappuLogic”, were widely circulated as Facebook or myspace updates and SMS jokes while Rahul Gandhi was slammed for producing another “stupid statement”.
The incident comes near to Rahul Gandhi being mocked at for saying “Poverty is often a state of mind” even though such ideas were expressed earlier by some people.
